El Acordeonero

El Acordeonero 9×12 acrylic on canvas

To make this painting, I drew inspiration from the musicians who play the accordion, to be more specific from the musical groups who perform music called “Vallenato” in the Caribbean region of Colombia. This is music with a great deal of rhythm and always performed in colorful festivals. Other instruments that are usually used in conjunction with the accordion is “La Caja” and ” La Guacharaca”. Lets not forget the typical vueltiao hat, a traditional sign of the culture of the Atlantic coast of Colombia.

Beautiful painting. I especially love the multi color effect in the work.
